Turkish company starts construction of plant for production of steel structures (photos)
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- DAL Teknik Makina Ticaret ve Sanayi A.Ş. (Turkey) started construction of a plant for production of metal structures for a wide range of use.
On 12 October 2017, the first stone of the plant was laid in industrial zone of Akhangaran city. The project worth US$10.7 million is realized in Angren free economic zone.
Representatives of DAL Teknik Makina Ticaret ve Sanayi A.Ş., local authorities and FEZ Angren took part in the ceremony.
Member of the Board and director-general of DAL Teknik Makina Ticaret ve Sanayi A.Ş. Chagatay Kose said that the project is being implemented due to 100% Turkish investments. Technologies for the plant will be imported from Turkey. According to him, the products, manufactured at the plant, will meet the European standard.
Chagatay Kose added that Uzbekistan currently imports metal constructs from abroad during implementation of the large industrial projects. Once, the plant will be launched, it will be able to meet demands of Uzbekistan to this product. He said that the part of the products will be exported to neighboring countries, such as Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan, etc.
Top manager of DAL Teknik Makina Ticaret ve Sanayi A.Ş. stressed that this project is unique for Central Asia as there is no such production capacities in other countries of the region.
Chagatay Kose said that the company’s products will be used in the construction of large industrial enterprises, including power plants.
The project will be implemented in three phases. The implementation of the first stage will be completed in May 2018 and the plant’s capacity will be 12,000 tonnes of products. In the second phase of the project, the plant’s capacity will be increased to 20,000 tonnes and in the third stage - up to 30,000 tonnes.
Jobir Shukrullayev, CEO of DAL Heavy Industries LLC, said that the company’s plans also include a project to organize production of metal pipes and profiles, which will double the Turkish company’s investments into this project. At the same time, he said that the project is currently under development and it is too early to talk about its technical parameters.
DAL Teknik Makina Ticaret ve Sanayi A.Ş. has been engaged in design, manufacture, modernization, technical audit, service, sale and installation of new equipment and plants on “turnkey” basis in such sectors as cement, lime, energy, minerals and coal production since 1985.
In Uzbekistan, the company has been operating since 2012 and for five years has implemented investment projects for construction and expansion of a cement plant in Jizzakh region for a total of US$133.4 million, and is currently working on an investment project for construction of a cement plant in Sherabad district of Surkhandarya region for a total of US$203.1 million.
As a foreign investor, the Turkish company already implemented several projects with direct private foreign investments worth over US$3 million in Jizzakh region. The company is developing four new projects worth US$12.6 million in Jizzakh region now.
